Box Gum is perhaps my favourite didg wood. It is so hard, its heartwood so rich and when hollowed by termites it has the best holes.
This  is a one off and Heartland has only three of Doug Pierce’s artwork of this calibre.
The relief carving and burn work of this humpback whale is so detailed and has so much presence  in each mm of burn work art it i incredible. The artwork is alive with the presence of  a humpback  whale. The  open resonant hole and the deep C note beautifully reflects the healing song of the humpback. A rare and  very very special collectors instrument.
