The path of a shaman involves being with what is. It involves humility and comfortableness with the light and the shadow elements of life, moving past right and wrong and polarities, and feeling into the purpose behind all that is. This Mallee D is unassuming, a natural and left as it was found in an exterior sense, untouched; it is in fact darkish  and in the shadows, especially accentuated in the photos, via the sealant used giving it a wet tree look.
The mouthpiece end is a classic where one plays directly with the  dieback top end of the tree, that transforms into its alive, smooth barked tapered self all the way through to its powerful  flared belled end. It is an instrument  that can dance with polarities and  provide a harmonising influence. D as a musical key, a vibration tone, relates to our belly, our feelings, our instinct, our body knowing.  The internal hole is tapered  and sizeable such that it plays responsively and with deep healing resonance. ‘Shamans Friend’ is a friend to anyone that wants to explore the deeper realms of being in self or in service of others.
