The rarest didgeridoos are sun seasoned, a hollow tree that has experienced life and has now died and dried in the cycles of many seasons, plucked seemingly at the perfect time before it decays into the beyond. Weathered just right,  it now tells its story of life and death and metamorphis in the woodgrain colours and patterns.  It’s as if it now has a new life, renewed. It’s as if the dying is fodder for the new life it now embraces. There’s something deeply authentic,  and real about this type of didgeridoo, it is layered with stories and spirit. The artwork speaks appropriately of the interconnectedness of all that is and its song is rich and warm and in a favourite key of D. The bottome near half of the didg has been left in that classic dried  grey colouring that is the result of any wood that drys in the sun over time. A special collectors didgeridoo!
