Mallees are not often straight or cooky cutter in any way. They stand out, always a one off and yet there is a spirit in this individuality that is shared. I can perceive this as a calling to have respect for self  & other,  with non judgement, acceptance as key. I’ve heard it said that First nation American Indians always make sure there is an imperfection in their crafting or art. They do not want to think that they can trump the perfection of nature, which involves many perceived imperfections. There is similarly thus, such humility in Mallee didgeridoos that is endlessly pleasing.  Their naturalness and the beauty in this comes out of what makes them individual and imperfect. Some central themes emerge via the bulges, the bark patternings and the flow in between, that very often speaks to landscape and interconnectedness dreaming.

These pondering’s are so true of this Mallee, as it has such flow and taper and scars that form backdrops for the landscape accentuated art.

It has a beautiful flared bell end, that empowers the deep resonant C# drone, that is easy to play for a beginner or experienced player.
